Rotorua Team News and Information

This is where we will post news and information relating to taking a team to the National Summer Games in Christchurch, from the 10 -14 December 2025, flying down on Wednesday 10th December and  back on Monday 15th December. (Flights not booked yet.) More information will be posted here as it comes to hand. On our Links page, under the  Main Menu, is a link to Special Olympics NZ's official NSG 2025 website which has more information about each sport and venue plus the schedule.
Our team was announced at our prizegiving at the end of last year. It included athletes who are non-travelling reserves, meaning they will only be part of the team if they are asked to replace a team member who cannot go. Official entries are due in by July but changes can be made up until October. Usually there is a cut off date in October after which no more changes can be made. We are taking a team of 57. There are 39 athletes and 16 volunteers in five sports.
